Legal firm spend thousands on SEO but still no leads
SEO is not a miracle worker. SEO only works in tandem with a well thought out user friendly website. Failure to understand the user journey will inevitably mean much of your SEO pound is wasted.
A national firm of lawyers who generate leads for their 2 key brands scratched their heads as they mused over what wasn't happening.
After patiently waiting for web traffic to build up through outsourced SEO they believed extra traffic would automatically mean: extra business. But it didn't.
SEO is not selling
SEO pushes people to your door...and then what? Unless you know how to treat them when they arrive on your website; what's in their head; and what their expectations are - chances are you will lose them. You'll know if this is happening by taking a look at your web analytics. A high bounce rate [visitors who only look at one page and then leave] is indicative of a problem with your website.
Bounce rate over 50%?
Providing your SEO, PPC or other marketing efforts are driving reasonable quality traffic then a bounce rate of 50% and above indicates problems. Often clients will rush to blame their SEO company, perhaps looking to change provider but this is rarely the real issue.
As in this case, the issues lay in the two websites
User Centric Web Design reviewed the two websites, pictorially highlighting usbility and conversion issues with evidence based reasons why the need for change. We also chipped in with other marketing tactic advice; based on user feedback.
Changes were made swiftly.
